Each lamp is one of a kind
Object permanence is the idea that things exist even when we can’t see them. I make lamps that hold that feeling, one at a time, in my Hudson Valley studio. Each piece is wheel-thrown by hand in stoneware, glazed by hand, and wired with UL-certified components, made to be lived with for a long time.
DIVERT

The Divert is what a new idea looks like when it starts heading in a slightly different direction. The silhouette suspends reality a bit, intentionally unbalanced, giving your brain something interesting to consider and earning a little head tilt at first glance. In reality, a weight in the base keeps it sturdy. The Divert is made from two ceramic pieces wheel-thrown by hand, a shade and a base, connected by a curved lamp pipe.

Ever feel like you’re not alone? You’re right. The saucer shade hovers over a slender stem, casting a soft downward glow, ready to beam you up and excited to keep you company. Wheel-thrown by hand in two pieces with a tactile matte finish, it suits minimalist, mid-century, or layered interiors.

Some things are worth sticking around for, and this lamp gets it. Slender, upright, and channeling serious mid-century energy, the Hover makes you want to stay where you’re at and linger in the calming downcast glow. Wheel-thrown by hand in two pieces and connected by a lamp pipe.

Meet the Shift. Where the Hover stands steadfast and direct, this one takes a little space. A graceful curved pipe brings a little arc and a lot of character to a mid-century silhouette. Wheel-thrown by hand in two pieces and connected via curved lamp pipe, fitted with a polished brass, unfinished brass, polished nickel, or matte black lamp harp, cord, and plug.
